Location. Hotel Bierwirt is located in Innsbruck, Austria, opposite the Amras Ort bus stop, and 600 metres from Schloss Ambras castle and park. Patscherkofel ski resort is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This family owned hotel is built in a traditional Tyrolean lodge style, with dark timber accenting white stone. The hotel is set on a quiet street and features a private garden. The wellness centre offers guests the use of a Finnish sauna, steam bath, Kneipp pool, and tanning beds, and massages and a relaxation area are also on offer.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is available, and the Restaurant Bierwirt serves Austrian and Tyrolean dishes in a relaxed setting.

There are five meeting and conference rooms available at Hotel Bierwirt.

The hotel offers a tennis court, and children will enjoy the toys and playroom. During the winter, guests can use the hotel's ski shuttle and ski storage facility.

Expert Tip. Schloss Ambras castle is 600 metres from the hotel. The 16th century castle contains the Habsburg portrait gallery, with about 300 portraits from the 15th 19th century. It also houses a museum about Renaissance arts and features a large garden.

Driving Directions

From Innsbruck Airport (INN):
Distance to Hotel Bierwirt is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Bus F runs between the airport, Innsbruck city centre, and the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The bus departs every 15 minutes and journey time is about 18 minutes. A single ticket costs 1.50 EUR. Change to bus C in the direction of Luigenstrasse. Get off at bus stop Amras Ort. Taxis wait in front of the terminal and the fare to Hotel Bierwirt is approximately 30 EUR. Transfers from the airport or from the train station can be organised by hotel staff (surcharge). Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Innsbruck is easy to explore on foot. Trams and buses operate throughout the city. 24 hour, unlimited travel passes cost approximately 2.50 EUR. Driving private cars is not permitted within the Old City. There are taxi ranks throughout the city. There is a Hungerburg funicular railway that provides easy access to the mountains. A car is useful for exploring the surrounding areas.
