Property Information
Location. The British Colonial Hilton Nassau has functioned for generations as a social and business center in Nassau, Bahamas. The hotel is built on the former site of Fort Nassau, a stronghold that was erected to thwart pirate attacks and Spanish invasions. This Bahamian hotel is located five blocks from Parliament Square and across the street from the Straw Market.
Hotel Features. Bordered by tropical gardens, a heated, 55 foot wide outdoor pool and sundeck with cushioned lounge chairs provide year around swimming and sunning. A 75 yard long private beach offers inviting seaside attractions, and is bedecked with lounge chairs and protected by thatched sunshades. Use of the hotel's kayaks, snorkeling gear and floats is complimentary. The 24 hour, complimentary, fitness center contains free weights and cardio machines. A business center provides Internet connected computers or guests may rent a laptop computer with wireless Internet connections and remote printing capability. Office supplies may be wheeled out to the beach or pool deck. On site restaurants offer a variety of culinary delights, including Italian fare prepared at Portofino Italian Café or conch chowders and burgers served at Blackbeard's Cove. Palm Court Lounge features a crystal chandelier, plush seating and the melodic strains of Bahamian/Caribbean bands.
Guestrooms. The British Colonial Hilton Nassau offers 288 guestrooms in a seven story, sand hued building. Décor elements combine blue or purple crown molding, white walls, pastel ceilings, mocha colored carpets and Bahamian prints. Furnishings include dark wood, colonial style furniture, large desks with ergonomic chairs and two telephones. Pink marble floored bathrooms contain telephones, and feature separate tubs and showers. Televisions offer U.S. cable channels. High speed Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. A seaside dining village called Arawak Cay Fish Fry is located one mile west of the hotel and contains numerous restaurants and cafés.

Exit the airport and turn left on Blake Street.
Continue on Blake Street and merge right to Bay Street.
Follow Bay Street and pass through Cable Beach area.
