Location. The Northwoods Resort & Conference Center, located across the street from Big Bear Village, Calif., is within a three mile radius of alpine thrills at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain recreational areas. Big Bear Performing Arts Center and Moonridge Animal Park and Zoo are also three miles away. The Bear Mountain Golf Course lies four miles from the resort.
Hotel Features. This rustic property draws the great outdoors inside with hunting lodge décor, wildlife themed furniture pieces and a rugged stone fireplace. A small outdoor splash pool and an expansive spa tub are available for use throughout the year. An indoor sauna is also on site. Stillwells, the hotel's lodge style restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner that includes nightly steak and seafood specials. Cocktails are offered by the fireside and in the adjacent lounge. Bike and ski rentals are available in the gift shop, which also sells clothing and food items. The hotel also features an on site fitness center and 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space equipped with high speed Internet access. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby.

Guestrooms. The three story Northwoods Resort and Conference Center has 148 lodge style guestrooms with bark furniture and wildlife patterned fabrics. Amenities include television with premium channels, coffeemakers and dial up Internet access. Selected accommodations feature fireplaces and balconies. Refrigerators are available upon request.

Expert Tip. Outdoor enthusiasts can venture to Big Bear Lake, where jet skiing, motor boating, parasailing and sailing are the activities du jour. One mile away, Meadow Park provides a children's playground and a sand volleyball court.

Driving Directions

From Ontario International Airport:
Take I 10 East to Junction 30 to Junction 330.
Jct 330 becomes Hwy 18.
Continue on Hwy 18 to Big Bear Dam.
Turn right at Big Bear Dam and proceed to Big Bear Lake Village.
The resort is located at the entrance to Big Bear Lake Village.
