Location. The Riviera Resort & Spa is located in Palm Springs, Calif. The hotel is two miles from downtown Palm Springs and two and one half miles from the Palm Springs Desert Museum.
Hotel Features. The hotel experienced a $70 million renovation and reopened in the fall of 2008. Circa59 serves steak and seafood, and some dishes are prepared tableside. The Bikini Bar is located on the main pool deck, Starlite Lounge is located off the lobby and serves light dishes and SideBar is located on the patio. The resort offers 38,000 square feet of meeting space for conferences or special occasions. The spa features 18 therapy rooms, steam room, fitness center, boutique and beauty salon. Two outdoor pools and two spa tubs are onsite. Complimentary high speed wired and wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms feature LCD televisions and MP3 connections. Windows open to views of the pool, garden or mountains. Bathrooms feature marble vanities and bathrobes. Select rooms offer fireplaces and jetted tubs.
Expert Tip. The hotel opened in 1959 and Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley have all stayed there.
