Location. Housed within the restored Public Market Building, the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel is steps from the Sacramento Convention Center and one block from the California State Capitol Complex. The historic museums of Old Sacramento are one mile from the hotel. Visitors are also eight miles from Arco Arena, home to the Sacramento Kings basketball team.
Hotel Features. Built in the early 1920's, the three story atrium lobby features multiple staircases, oriental rugs and various seating areas. Overlooking the atrium, Morgan's Bistro presents buffet style breakfasts and California classics such as grilled Ahi tuna sandwiches and crab salads. Other on site dining options include the Public Market Bar and Glides Market, which serves coffee and pastries. The meeting rooms on the second floor are named in honor of the original merchant tenants of the Public Market, with photos of 1920's commerce throughout. The business center offers high speed Internet access. The hotel includes a fitness center with treadmills and a heated indoor pool.
