Location. Sofitel Forebase Chongqing is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone in downtown Chongqing, China, 100 meters from the Chongqing Exhibition Center and five kilometers from the Sichuan Opera.
Hotel Features. Sofitel Forebase Chongqing's exterior outline is traced with lights at night. The luxury hotel includes three restaurants. Spices offers international cuisine prepared in a display kitchen and presented on buffet islands. Bamboo Pavilion offers classic Cantonese and Sichuanese cuisine. Wafu serves Japanese cuisine and includes a sushi counter, a tatami room and a hibachi table. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are served daily. Expert Tip. Ciqikou Ancient Town, 15 kilometers from the hotel, was built during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and was involved in producing and trading porcelain. A number of the original kilns and courtyard compounds remain. The sleepy town includes a variety of shops and vendors selling anything from liquor to clothing and fruit along its winding pathways.
