Location. Intercontinental Shenzhen is located in Shenzhen, China, 100 meters from Splendid China and China Folk Culture Village theme parks, and seven kilometers from the city center. A subway station is located across the street from the hotel and the Shenzhen Railway Station is 25 kilometers from the hotel. The hotel is considered a business and leisure property.

Hotel Features. The hotel's Spanish theme coupled with Chinese décor results in rich, warm cream and brown tones, vibrant red accents and black wrought iron chandeliers. The hotel includes six restaurants, a 24 hour business center and a lushly landscaped outdoor pool with a sand beach and landscaped island. The hotel provides grocery shopping service.

Intercontinental Shenzhen's six restaurants offer a range of cuisine, from southern Chinese to Western, Thai, Vietnamese and Continental. La Parilla serves from an open air grill kitchen near the pool and specializes in dishes from pizza to barbecued squid. Lounge 1982 offers coffee, cakes, afternoon tea and, at night, champagnes, cocktails, cognacs and live music.

The business center includes computers, printers and high speed wired, wireless and dial up Internet access. Meeting and banquet facilities can seat from 30 to 1,200 people.

Additional recreational amenities include a fitness center, a sports court and two tennis courts.

Guestrooms. The six story hotel houses 549 guestrooms. Amenities include high speed wired, wireless and dial up Internet access, CD and DVD players, stereo systems, flat panel wall mounted televisions with cable and satellite channels and telephones with voice mail and complimentary local calls. Rooms also offer coffee and tea makers and minibars.

Expert Tip. The Window of the World Theme Park, Shenzhen's first, offers scaled down versions of world famous attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal. It also features an alpine ski slope. Admission to the park is RMB120 (approximately US$17).

Driving Directions

From Shenzhen International Airport (SZX): Distance to Intercontinental Shenzhen is 25 kilometers, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The best option for traveling from the airport to the hotel is by train. Shenzhen Railway Station is 25 kilometers from the hotel. Also, a subway station is located across the street from the hotel.

Getting around. Taxis offer the most convenient means for traveling in Shenzhen.

Driving directions. From the airport, take Xingzhou Road and turn right onto Shennan Road.
The hotel is on the right hand side of the street just past the Window of the World Theme Park.
