Property Information

Location. The Hotel Kompas is located three kilometres from the Old City of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Set in a bay on the Adriatic Sea, the hotel is 400 metres from a shopping centre. The train station is also 400 metres away.
Hotel Features. A resort hotel with a large outdoor swimming pool and poolside bar, the Hotel Kompas also has an indoor pool and wellness suite with fitness room, massage treatment room, and sauna.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in the main restaurant, which specialises in international and Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant opens up into an al fresco dining terrace. There is also a pizzeria with outdoor seating and nightly entertainment during summer months. The café bar serves ice creams and snacks, as well as alcoholic drinks.

There are three meeting rooms for business events, with audio visual equipment, computer rental, and catering services for between 10 and 100 people. The hotel also hosts weddings.

The hotel holds a Dalmatian evening once a week, when local bands play Croatian music.

Guestrooms. The 115 air conditioned guestrooms are decorated with simple wooden furniture and patterned curtains, and some of them extend to balconies overlooking the sea. Dial up Internet connections are available for a surcharge. Amenities also include minibars and satellite television.

Expert Tip. Dubrovnik Old City was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979 in recognition of its beautifully preserved medieval architecture. There is an annual arts festival in summer with music, theatre and dance acts from all over Europe.

Driving Directions

From Dubrovnik Airport (DBV):
Distance to Hotel Kompas is 25 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The hotel offers a limousine transfer service for a surcharge of 40 EUR. A typical taxi fare is 35 40 EUR. A Croatia Airlines shuttle runs to the city's main bus station, near the Gruz port, which is three miles from the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Dubrovnik's beaches and old town are easy to explore on foot, and many streets are pedestrianised. Buses are available throughout the city centre. Ferries and water taxis run from the port to the Elafiti Islands.
