The Eurohostel is a modern hostel situated in the Katajanokka sea terminal area, within 500 metres of the Zoo Ferry and Helsinki's Market Square. The 135 guestrooms are decorated in light colours with functional furnishings. All guestrooms have functional furnishings including tables and chairs.
Guests can enjoy some relaxation time in the sauna on the top floor of the hostel and can prepare meals in the shared kitchens situated on each floor, which are complete with hot plates, microwaves, refrigerators and televisions. Guests can also eat at the restaurant Katajanmara, which serves a range of international dishes in a relaxed, modern setting. Practical amenities include a laundrette and a 24 hour front desk with safe deposit box. Those interested in sightseeing can use the Internet to plan an itinerary (surcharge). There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, with Uspenski Cathedral, Suomenlinna sea fortress and Senate Square and Cathedral all within one kilometre. Helsinki Vantaa Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach by car.
Driving Directions
Taxi ranks and bus stops are located in front of both terminals. Timetable information is available in all Arrivals halls. Public buses to Helsinki city centre depart every 10 30 minutes and the Finnair bus every 15 20 minutes daily. Take the bus 615 to the central rail station. Walk up to the Lasipalatsi tram stop on Mannerheimintie Street and take tram 4 to Katajanokka. Alight at the seventh stop, Vyökatu for the hostel.
