Built in 1939 and fully renovated in November 2005, the Albion Hotel is one of Miami Beach's (Fla.) true Art Deco masterpieces. The hotel stands a block from the pedestrian only Lincoln Road Mall, which is filled with shops and restaurants, and serves as home to a symphony orchestra, multiplex cinema and theater. More than 50 local artists work and display their creations in the walk in studios.
One of the boutique Rubell Hotels, the Albion, located two blocks from the beach, sports a distinctly contemporary interior design, with a slanted silver waterfall gracing the lobby. The Albion Hotel's clientele is a mix of business and leisure, with an emphasis on travelers from the fashion, media and art worlds. Catalogue crews, magazine editors and photographers often use the hotel's superb architecture as the focal point for photo shoots. The 60 foot pool on the second level includes portholes looking into the deep end. After swimming laps, guests can work out in a nearby fitness room. In addition to 24 hour room service, guests can also dine at The Pantry poolside or enjoy a cocktail at the Fallabella Bar. Guests can also schedule a private tour of the Rubell family's renowned collection of contemporary art.
Guestrooms feature a stark, minimalist décor, with custom wood furnishings by architect Carlos Zapata, and amenities ranging from wireless Internet access and CD players to spa bathrobes and the Rubell Hotels' own cucumber scented bath essentials. The 90 guestrooms and suites feature Azzuri bed throws, oversized pillows and Mediterranean inspired curtains.

From Miami International Airport (MIA):
From airport exit, take NW 21st St and veer right onto SR 112 (Airport Expy).
Continue east on SR 112 and then on I 195.
Proceed onto Arthur Godfrey Rd and turn right onto Indian Creek Dr.
Bear right onto Collins Ave and continue for 11 blocks.
Turn right onto Lincoln Rd and then take another right onto James Ave.
The hotel is on the left side of the street.
