Location. The Mercure Hotel Potsdam City is a contemporary, 17 storey tower block hotel located by Lake Havel in the centre of the German city of Potsdam. The Film Museum is within 200 metres of the hotel, and the Kolonie Alexandowka (Russian quarter) is one kilometre away. Potsdam's main railway station is 300 metres away and Berlin Tegel Airport is 55 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
Hotel Features.The air conditioned public areas of the hotel are equipped with wireless Internet access, and complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency, look after valuables in the safe deposit box and offer concierge services. Driving Directions

Getting there. Taxis are available at the airport and a typical fare to the hotel is around 35 EUR. Alternatively, take bus 109 to Berlin Charlottenberg railway station. From there, take a train to Potsdam Station, which is 300 metres from the hotel. Potsdam can be explored on foot, and is served by an efficient bus service. The best way to see the surrounding countryside is by car.
