Location. Pita Maha overlooks the Oos River in Tjampuhan Valley in Ubud, Indonesia. The hotel is one kilometer from Ubud Center and Museum Puri Lukisan, and two kilometers from the Monkey Forest.
Hotel Features. This small resort, bordered by tropical greenery, resembles a small Balinese village. An infinity pool offers views of the surrounding hills. Pita Maha Spa offers a variety of treatments, including traditional Balinese massage, facials, scrubs, and herbal treatments. The resort also offers classes in several Balinese arts, including cooking, painting, wood carving and dance. Adventure programs including bicycle tours, trekking and river rafting. Terrace Restaurant, set on a Tjampuhan Valley ridge, serves Asian and Western cuisine incorporating local herbs, spices and produce. Complimentary American breakfast is served daily.

Guestrooms. Pita Maha's 24 ground floor villas reflect Balinese architectural style and include Balinese art, complementary rich wood finishes and floor to ceiling windows. Balconies offer views of the river and river valley. Some also include views of rice paddies. Garden villas offer private gardens and outdoor showers and bathtubs. Pool duplex villas are two story structures with compound style layouts and plunge pools. Pool garden villas include private gardens, plunge pools and sun decks. Amenities include complimentary wireless and local calls, CD players, DVD players and premium cable channels. Rooms also include refrigerators, minibars and complimentary bottled water. Sizes range from over 1,600 square feet to over 3,000 square feet.

Expert Tip. Ubud is a land of scenic rivers and gorges, colorful villages and other attractions, many within walking distance. Maps specifically intended for explorers on foot are available at most area shops.
