The Garibaldi is a small, family run hotel situated in Mestre, seven kilometres from Venice's centre and famous Venice Lagoon. This two floor hotel features 28 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which are decorated in pastel tones, with floral bedspreads and curtains. All have satellite television, minibars, complimentary Internet connections and safes. Bathrooms have hair dryers and toiletries.
The peach painted lounge and bar area, lined with striped sofas and potted plants offers an area in which to relax and unwind. The front desk can supply free passes to a nearby fitness centre. Staff on the 24 hour front desk can also arrange airport transfers (surcharge), and those arriving by car can make use of the hotel's parking facilities. The nearest airport is Venice Marco Polo, seven kilometres from the hotel.

Driving Directions

Taxis are available 24 hours a day from the airport terminal and cost about EUR 15. The number 15 bus departs the airport every 30 minutes and stops at the bus station opposite the hotel. The nearest train station to the hotel is Venice Mestre. Buses regularly depart for the historical city centre from the bus station across the road from the hotel, and take around ten minutes. Wandering around the streets and lanes of Venice is best done on foot, and there are plenty of gondolas waiting to carry visitors along the famous waterways.
Driving directions: From Venice Marco Polo Airport, head towards the city centre following signs to Mestre and take the Castellana exit. Signs for the Garibaldi hotel can be seen along this road.
