Property Information
The Conrad Tokyo is a modern hotel sited in the commercial district, towering 37 storeys over the Shiodome with views over the Royal Hamarikyu Gardens. The 290 guestrooms and suites feature contemporary Japanese decor designed to complement city or garden views, and are equipped with plasma screen TVs with satellite channels, wireless and high speed Internet connections, DVD players, cordless telephones and minibars. Bathrooms include two sinks, rain showers and free standing bathtubs.
The hotel houses Tokyo's largest spa and fitness centre, including an indoor pool that features a sumie painting motif and offers views across the city. Guests can join an aerobics class or work out in the gym, and then unwind with a sauna and a range of indulgent spa treatments. The hotel offers guests a choice of four restaurants, ranging from classic French cookery to modern interpretations of classic Japanese kaiseki and teppenyaki dishes. The six onsite meeting rooms and two ballrooms are equipped with audio visual equipment and can accommodate business meetings or social functions of between 10 and 350 guests. The hotel houses its own wedding chapel and bridal salon, and offers a range of hair and beauty services. Cigars, gifts and lifestyle accessories are available in the onsite shop. The concierge and staff at the front desk can arrange limousine transfer to and from the airport, provide room service and organise babysitting services. Guests arriving by car can park in the underground garage. The Ginza district, known as the 'Silver Mint', is 500 metres from the hotel and home to Tokyo's most prestigious department stores and fashion boutiques. Those interested in architecture will find many unusual and striking buildings on the artificial island of Odaiba, five kilometres away. Haneda Tokyo International Airport is 20 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 65 minutes.
Driving Directions
Haneda Airport is served by the Keihin Kyuko Railway and the Tokyo Monorail. The nearest station to the hotel is Shimbashi, on the Keihin Kyuko and JR Yamanote lines. Taxis are available from the airport, but are expensive. The easiest and best way to get around Tokyo is on the extensive rail and underground network. Fares start at 130 JPY, and pre paid Metro cards are available for 1,000 JPY. The trains are generally very crowded during rush hour.
Driving directions: Follow Kanto highway from Haneda to Tokyo. Exit the highway, following signs to Shimbashi or Shiodome.
