Location. Built in 1828 as a tank to hold gas used to fuel Boston's lanterns, this distinctive cylindrical, red brick building was vacant for 60 years. The Best Western Roundhouse Suites, Boston, Mass., is located in Boston's South End. This historic building was transformed into a hotel in 2001. The Boston Symphony/Boston Pops and Bayside Expo Center are less than two miles away.
