Location. El Dorado Maroma, a Beachfront Resort, is located on Maroma Beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This resort is positioned north of Playa del Carmen near the Playacar Golf Club. The resort shares property with the Marina Maroma that offers deep sea fishing and water sports.
Hotel Features. Six restaurants and bars include Mundo which serves Mexican and Caribbean specialties, and Kiyoko, known for its sushi, sashimi and tepanyaki preparations. Cuccina Italiana promotes a traditional approach to Italian cooking with a focus on ocean fish dishes and pastas. Two oceanfront bars prepare tropical drinks, serve Mexican beers and offer chelada salsa spiced beer prepared to taste. Rick's Place Bar affords seaside ambience, provides pool tables and offers live music. An on site spa houses a beauty salon and provides a range of massage treatments including Swedish, sports, reflexology and shiatsu techniques. Resort activities include a range of motorized and non motorized water sports, and scuba and snorkeling adventures scheduled at the tour desk. Additional activities include dance classes, yoga instruction, ceramics and painting lessons, tequila tasting sessions and power walks on the beach. A lazy river winds through the property. An outdoor pool is surrounded by a sundeck furnished with lounge chairs. A fitness facility contains cardiovascular and weight training equipment.

Guestrooms. This resort offers beach view suites decorated in Caribbean style. Oversized terraces afford ocean views. All accommodations are equipped with satellite television and DVD/CD players. Rooms include minibars and coffeemakers. In room safes are provided. Select suites offer swim up access directly from the lazy river. All suites are smoke free, although smoking is allowed in designated public areas.
