Location. The beachfront Omni Puerto Aventuras Beach Resort stands adjacent to the Dolphin Discovery lagoon in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. The resort is located less than 10 kilometers from Xcaret and stands 16 kilometers from Playa del Carmen.
Hotel Features. The lobby of this resort was renovated in 2004 and features Mexican tile floors, a palapa style thatched ceiling, colorful fabrics and a central turquoise tiled bar. La Veranda restaurant offers open air dining and serves Mexican and American fare. El Xenote is a gourmet, Mayan themed restaurant that specializes in Yucatecan cuisine prepared with fresh local ingredients. Guests who bring laptops equipped with wireless network cards can receive complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby, the pool, the restaurant and in the beach areas. An outdoor pool includes a children's area and a relaxation area. A fitness center, a spa that offers nail care and massages, a spa tub and a water sports center border the pool. The water sports center arranges diving and snorkeling trips, and rents kayaks, snorkeling equipment and boogie boards.

Guestrooms. This low key resort offers 30 Mexican themed guestrooms with tiled floors, wall murals, stone and marble finishes, and vibrant color schemes. In room safes are provided. Rooms may be reserved under the European Plan that includes continental breakfasts. Accommodations afford marina or garden views from private terraces that boast jetted tubs. Rooms are equipped with satellite television. Coffeemakers are provided.

Expert Tip. The on site Piña Colada bar lives up to its name by serving tropical cocktails and Mexican Caribbean fare at the bar, but revs up the fun by serving refreshments at its 42 person freeform spa tub.
