The Golden Tulip Hotel is housed in a modern building set two kilometres from Alkmaar's historic city centre and the famous beer and cheese museums. The 76 guestrooms are defined by light, modern decor and dark wood furnishings, and are equipped with satellite television, wireless Internet connections, clock radios and telephones with voicemail. Driving Directions

There is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the main road (A4) through the Schiphol tunnel. Take exit A9 towards Alkmaar. At the end of the A9 follow Alkmaar Centrum. Cross the first roundabout and take the first street on the right. The Golden Tulip Alkmaar is on the right hand side.
