Anne Frank House

Artis
There are some 6,000 animals in the delightful 19th century park Artis, the oldest zoo on the European continent. As well as the oldest aquarium in Holland, there's a Planetarium in which you can see spectacular shows, explaining the stars and planets.
Canal Tours
Amsterdam has 100 canals and 1,000 bridges. While gliding through the old centre of the city you see elegant merchant's mansions, carillion-crowned churches and warehouses dating back to the 16th and 17th century.

Flowerfield and Keukenhof
Open from March 25th through mid-May. Spring in Holland brings out more than just tulips. Millions of crocuses, hyacinths, and daffodils bloom in the bulb fields covering 25 square miles between Haarlem and Leiden. Madame Tussaud Scenerama
Meet present and past in the heart of Amsterdam. One entire floor is devoted to daily life in Amsterdam's Golden Age. A floor above, you're right in the 20th Century where you can see the first moonwalk. There's also a completely equipped television studio with pop stars and other famous personalities. Rijksmuseum
The Rijksmuseum has a collection which is justifiably famous throughout the world, with Rembrandt's famous Nightwatch and a large collection of Dutch Old Masters. Besides, there are doll's houses and furniture, clocks and Delft blue porcelain. In addition the museum also holds an extensive collection of drawings and prints. Scheepvaartmuseum
The Maritime Museum houses one of the finest collections of its kind in the world. It includes splendid authentic ship models as well as many charts, navigation instruments, weapons, flags and paintings. At the museum's pier you can see a full-size replica of the 18th Century Dutch East India Company Ship, The Amsterdam and even step on board and see what life was like on a ship then. Van Gogh Museum
Vincent Van Gogh is one of the best known of Dutch painters. The Van Gogh Museum has over two hundred of his paintings. Here you can admire his Potato Eaters, Self-Portraits As An Artist and Corn Field With Crows to name just a few of his more famous woks. Paulus Potterstraat 7; +31-20-570-52-00.
Volendam and Marken

Windmills, Zaanse Schans and Edam
A century ago Holland had 9,000 windmills, only 945 remain. Their size and shape differs according to the job they do: pump water, saw lumber or grind grain.
