The Palace Hotel is a striking five story Art Deco building located next to the beach in the coastal town of Noordwijk aan Zee, 35 kilometers from Amsterdam. Each floor of the hotel follows a different design scheme and the 120 guestrooms are decorated accordingly. The layout of each room is dictated by the Art Deco design of the building with its many turrets and unusual rooflines. All rooms feature wireless Internet access, interactive cable television with pay movies, tea and coffee making facilities, minibars and balconies. Bathrooms have steam showers, complimentary toiletries and bathrobes.
The hotel's two restaurants offer French and international dishes alongside a selection of wines, and the bar is an ideal place to enjoy a glass of whisky and a cigar. For adults, the hotel offers use of its traditional Dutch barge which can take up to 18 passengers on tours of the Zuid Holland Lake District. The hotel lies three kilometers from the Noordwijk Space Expo, a center tracing the history of international space flight, and eight kilometers from the Keukenhof, a 28 hectare sanctuary for tulips, set amid more flower fields. Amsterdam Schiphol airport is 20 kilometers from the hotel. The hotel operates a shuttle service to and from the airport for a fee. Alternatively, there is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Central Station approximately every 15 minutes. Schiphol Tr avel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall. Public buses also r un regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. The easiest way to get to the Pa lace Hotel from Schiphol is by taxi.

Driving Directions

From the airport, take the A4 towards the Hague. At the fork, take the turn for Leiden West (A41), then take exit 6 for Oegstgeest Noord. After the exit, turn right towards Noordwijk (N444). Drive along the canal and turn left at the first traffic lights following the signs for Noordwijk. At the first roundabout go straight on, then turn right into Beeklaan road at the second. At the next roundabout continue straight ahead to Pickeplein Square where the hotel is located.
