Location. Hotel van Walsum is located in central Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It is 400 metres from the Art Museum, and 1.5 kilometres from both the Diergaarde Blijdorp Zoo and the city's harbour.
Hotel Features. This four storey hotel is located in a terrace of traditional Dutch townhouses built in 1895. The 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff who can offer the use of a safe deposit box and concierge services, and wireless Internet access is available in the air conditioned public areas. There are complimentary newspapers in the hotel lobby, and secure parking (surcharge) is offered on site.

Restaurant Van Walsum serves Dutch dishes in a traditional setting. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided daily.

Driving Directions

From Rotterdam Airport (RTM):
Distance to Hotel van Walsum is 6 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The RET number 33 bus runs from the airport to Rotterdam Central Station (one kilometre from the hotel) every 10 minutes. The journey time is about 20 minutes and single tickets cost 2.70 EUR. Trams are available at the station; take tram number 4 to the fourth stop, Nieuwe Binnenweg/Mathenesserlaan, which is outside the hotel. Taxis to the hotel cost about 20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Rotterdam has a comprehensive public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro. The hotel is 500 metres from the Dijkzigt metro stop. Cycling is a popular way to see the city. Water taxis and ferries are also available.
