Location. The Inn of the Governors is located in Santa Fe, N.M., within one quarter mile of Santa Fe Plaza, Loreto Chapel and West de Vargas Park. The hotel is less than one half mile from Bridge of the Hidalgos Historic Site, New Mexico Capitol Building and Institute of American Indian Arts Museum. Museum of New Mexico History Library and Sweeney Convention Center are just over one half mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Inn of the Governors opens to a lobby with deep burnt orange tiled floors, exposed brickwork, wooden wall paneling, wooden ceiling beams, a globe, and sofas and chairs. The hotel offers complimentary daily buffet style breakfasts and afternoon sherry and tea receptions. Del Charro Saloon, with saloon doors, wooden paneling, and a kiva fireplace, serves American and New Mexican cuisine including burgers, wraps, quesadillas and salads. Expert Tip. Constructed in Pueblo Revival Style, the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum's building was transferred to the museum by the federal government.
