Set among the greenery of Lillehammer's Olympic Park, the Birkebeineren Hotel Motel is a traditional style, red wood building with modern facilities, only one kilometre from the town centre. It features 40 guestrooms over two floors, with light decor, wood flooring and furnishings, and black and white framed prints. All include satellite television with pay movies, direct dial phones, complimentary wireless Internet and hair dryers.
Guests can cook on the hotel's barbeque, and enjoy a game of volleyball on the sand court, while children have the use of their own playground. After a day's activities visitors can wind down in the on site sauna, and other practical amenities include meals for groups of ten or more on request, a laundry, currency exchange, safe deposit box and free parking. There is also complimentary wireless Internet throughout for those with laptops. The ski shuttle bus stops outside the hotel and skiers also have ski storage space and a waxing room.
Guests can visit the Norwegian Olympic Museum 300 metres away, play a few rounds on the Lillehammer Golf course 500 metres from the hotel and take a trip to the Hafjell Alpine Ski Centre 15 kilometres away. Oslo Gardermoen Airport is 180 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 105 minutes.

Driving Directions
The airport train station runs services directly to Lillehammer. The journey takes between 1.5 to two hours, and trains runs at least every other hour during the day.
Driving directions: From the airport take the E6 north to the centre of Lillehammer. Then follow signs to the Olympiaparken and at the roundabout turn right towards Lysgardsbakkene Hoppanlegg. The hotel is straight ahead.
