Location. The Avalon Hotel and Spa, the first luxury boutique property located in Portland, Ore., incorporates the amenities of a destination spa and resort into its original design. This hotel is located on the Willamette River at John's Landing, known as the gateway to Portland's exclusive residential neighborhoods.
Hotel Features. The design of this hotel pays homage to the contemporary sophistication and warm hospitality of the Pacific Northwest, displaying sensitivity toward this area's unspoiled surroundings. The handsome seven story red brick property houses a two story lobby and guest reception area. The lobby features commissioned works of art by local Pacific Northwest artists, presented alongside vintage velvet sofas in a fireside setting. Dedicated to pampering their guests, the hotel is home to the Avalon Spa, which offers a steam room, sauna, spa tub, along with full body treatments including thermal mineral baths and Moor mud wraps. The adjacent fitness center, with free weights, cardiovascular, and strengthening equipment, is complimentary to guests of the hotel. The hotel offers child care services, conference rooms, a business center and complimentary transportation to downtown Portland. The hotel provides complimentary continental breakfasts. Aquariva Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar offers a seasonal Italian inspired menu, 40 Italian wines, outdoor riverside patio dining and weekend brunches.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms offer ensembles of custom furniture and provide access to private verandas that feature stunning views of the Willamette River. Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access and CD players. The hotel provides bathrobes and, designer toiletries.
The Avalon has obtained both the U.S. Green Building Council's Silver rating and LEED certification in recognition of Avalon's efforts in recycling, energy efficiency and low water consumption.

Expert Tip. A two mile riverfront walking and jogging trail, the Willamette Greenway lies right outside the hotel.

Take the airport exit toward I 205.
Take I 205 South.
Take I 84 West.
Take I 5 South.
Take exit number 299A toward OR 43/Lake Oswego.
Turn slight right onto Southwest Macadam Avenue/OR 43.
At the first signal, turn left onto Southwest Hamilton Court.
The hotel is located on the left.
