Location. The Protea Hotel Samrand is located outside of Johannesburg, South Africa, 15 kilometres from the exhibition and conference facilities at Gallagher Estate, and 30 kilometres from the Pretoria Zoo.

Getting there. Taxis are available from the airport. Airport accredited vehicles should display the ACSA logo, and the fare should be negotiated prior to departure. Buses and taxis wait opposite Terminal A. A Skylink Airport shuttle runs to the towns of Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, and Sasolburg, in the Vaal Triangle area. A shuttle also runs to Pretoria. Many hotels provide complimentary airport transfers. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The best way to explore Johannesburg is by car. Buses run to destinations throughout Johannesburg and the surrounding areas. Taxis should be booked in advance.
