Location. Originally constructed as a cotton warehouse around 1840, the historic Anchorage Inn Charleston stands in the French Quarter of Charleston, S.C. One block from the Charleston Harbor, the Anchorage Inn Charleston was named such to pay homage to the inn's heritage as a safe harbor. The Charleston City Market stands two blocks away. Rainbow Row, a collection of restored 18th century row houses, is three blocks from the inn.
Hotel Features. Traditional 17th century décor, 14 foot ceilings and handcrafted period reproductions grace the hotel. Complimentary hot breakfasts are served daily in the dining room, and a complimentary wine and cheese reception is held each evening. Concierge services include tour pick up service at the front of the hotel.

Once on I 26 East, take Exit 221.
Follow the signs to Meeting Street/Visitors Center.

Turn right on Meeting Street and follow 2.5 miles.
Turn left onto Cumberland Street.
Turn right onto Concorde Street when Cumberland Street dead ends.
The hotel is located on the right.
