Formerly a concert hall and tea salon, the Avenida Palace is a nine storey hotel located on Barcelona's principal thoroughfare, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, one block from Plaza Catalunya. The 151 air conditioned guestrooms have Art Deco design motifs with wood wall panelling and rich fabrics. All rooms include satellite TV and wireless Internet access as well as safes and minibars.
The hotel's main restaurant is el Insòlit Bcn and it serves Mediterranean cuisine.from an a la carte menu. It has richly detailed Art Deco design, with classical white mouldings and walls adorned with early 19th century paintings. The Cathedral is 500 metres away and Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia is around three kilometres from hotel. Barcelona airport is 12 kilometres away.

Driving Directions

The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes. There is also an Aerobus service to Plaza Catalunya every 12 minutes, one block from the hotel Taxis are available in front of the airport terminals. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately 20 EUR. From Barcelona airport, take the C246 (Gran Via) in the direction of the city centre. Having passed Plaza España, continue on towards the city centre. The hotel is located between Rambla de Catalunya and Paseo de Gracia.
