Named after the king who commissioned its construction in 1928, Hotel Alfonso XIII was originally built to house heads of state and high ranking guests of the 1929 Great Ibero American Exhibition. This palatial property reflects Mudejar Revival architecture with marble floors, wood paneled ceilings, Moorish lamps, ceramic hand painted tiles and antique furnishings. The hotel's dining options include complimentary buffet style breakfasts. San Fernando Restaurant serves Spanish and Mediterranean dishes, and features blue and clear glass leaded windows and dark wood furnishings. The Japanese style Kaede restaurant prepares sushi and teppenyaki. San Fernando Bar is located adjacent to the patio, and features live piano or violin music during evening hours.
