This superb 1865 former mansion overlooks Lake Geneva and is 500 meters from the historic old town. The 91 spacious rooms are utterly unique, each each with its own sumptuous décor, with chintz fabrics, antique furniture and a plush period feel. All have cable television and minibars. Deluxe rooms and suites have bay windows overlooking Lake Geneva, the harbor and Mont Blanc's distant peak.
Frescoes, statues, marble columns and a fountain set the tone in the hotel's , off which lies the equally lavish Atrium Bar, with its mirrors and sculpture topped fireplace. Guests sit at the long marble bar or relax in in plush armchairs; light meals and snacks are also available. For French gourmet cooking, Le Chat Botté is the hotel's star restaurant. The menu is accompanied by fine wines from a century old cellar and a selection of rare cheeses. Alternatively, the Patara, one of the best Thai restaurants in Geneva, can seat up to 55 diners. The hotel also has seven elegant meeting rooms. Geneva Cointrin Airport is five kilometers from the hotel; regular trains and taxis are available for transfer from the airport to the central Geneva train station, Gare de Cornavin.
