Location. The Hotel Hofgarten is a boutique hotel located in Luzern, Switzerland, within 50 metres of the city's historic quarter and Lake Lucerne. The main train station is 500 metres away.
Hotel Features. Set in three historic houses, amidst the hotel gardens, the Hofgarten is situated in a quiet location by the lake. It features a traditional Swiss facade with a white and red exterior and a contemporary interior with modern artworks and Art Deco design. Secure valet parking is available, and the hotel offers a bar.

The Hofgarten Restaurant offers international vegetarian dishes, locally sourced, and a complimentary buffet breakfast daily.

A meeting room is available for business guests.

Discounted entry to the deluxe fitness centre just 50 metres away is offered. There is a running track along the lake, and a playground. Aerobics, yoga, squash, and tennis are offered nearby.

Expert Tip. Visit the famous landmark, the Chapel Bridge, which is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. The bridge and the adjoining Water Tower are the most photographed monuments in the country.

Driving Directions

From Zurich Airport (ZRH):
Distance to Hotel Hofgarten is 100 kilometres, approximately 75 90 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The airport's Swiss Federal Railways Station is located beneath terminal B. S2 and S16 trains run every 10 minutes to Zurich city centre at peak times. The journey time is about 10 minutes and single tickets cost 5.80 CHF. Trains run to Lucerne. Taxis wait outside arrivals, and cost approximately 150 CHF (105 EUR) to the Hotel Hofgarten. There is a bus terminal next to car park B, with 11 bus lines running to towns and villages across the region. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Zurich's public transport system includes trams, trains, and buses. Tickets must be bought prior to boarding. Day passes (Tageskarte) offer 24 hours of unlimited travel. Ferries run from the ferry terminal at Enge to the towns and villages surrounding Lake Zurich.

Driving directions. Depart Zurich airport and take motorway exit for Luzern Zentrum or Luzern Nord.
Follow signs to the Verkerhshaus (Transportation Museum).
The hotel is opposite the Hofkirche (church).
