Built in 1970, the Hotel Loeffler is a modern hotel set in upper St Moritz, 400 metres from the nearest ski lift and around a kilometre from the resort centre. The hotel features 36 bright, modern guestrooms, all of which open onto balconies and provide clock radios, direct dial phones, and ensuite bathrooms with hair dryers.
Guests can start the day with an extensive buffet breakfast at the hotel, before hitting the slopes. The Corviglia ski area offers 350 kilometres of pistes and 60 ski lifts. There are 180 kilometres of cross country skiing trails and there is also sledding, curling, ice skating and a cresta run. After a day on the piste, guests can relax over drinks in the bar or order a light meal from the room service menu. Those guests wishing to catch up on emails or surf the web can take advantage of the hotel's Internet access. The hotel offers storage facilities for ski equipment and those arriving by car have access to parking (fee). Zurich Airport is an approximate driving time of around three hours and a distance of 240 kilometres from the hotel.
Driving Directions
The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B; fare to city centre is approximately 50 CHF (35 EUR).
