Location. The Bauhaus designed Hotel Rigihof is located in the university quarter of Zurich, Switzerland, within a kilometre of the Old Town and Bahnhofstrasse shopping. Zurich Airport is just ten kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Rigihof's lobby has curved floor to ceiling windows and a circular glass front desk. Staff at the 24 hour front desk can book airport transfers and advise on local attractions. Each room is dedicated to a local creative personality.

The Bauhaus restaurant serves Swiss specialities and light seasonal cuisine amid colourful modernist decor. There is an extensive wine list and a plant lined summer terrace.

The hotel has meeting and conference rooms for small groups, and there's a high speed Internet connection in the business corner.

Guestrooms. The Hotel Rigihof's 66 non smoking guestrooms feature Bauhaus style sketches on the walls above the bed. The minimalist rooms have parquet floors and are decorated in white and tan. Rooms offer wireless Internet access, satellite television with pay movies, tea/coffee making facilities and minibars.

Expert Tip. Two of Zurich's most famous churches, the Fraumunster and the Grossmunster, are within easy walking distance of the Hotel Rigihof.

Driving Directions

From Zurich Airport (ZRH):
Distance to the Hotel Rigihof is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The airport's Swiss Federal Railways Station is located beneath terminal B. S2 and S16 trains run every 10 minutes to Zurich city centre at peak times. The journey time is about 10 minutes and single tickets cost 5.80 CHF. The Hotel Rigihof is located in the city centre. Trains run to many destinations throughout Switzerland, including Geneva, Berne, and Lucerne. Taxis wait outside arrivals, and cost approximately 50 CHF (35 EUR) to the city centre. There is a bus terminal next to car park B, with 11 bus lines running to towns and villages across the region. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The hotel is located on Universitaetstr in Zurich's university quarter. Zuyrich's public transport system includes trams, trains, and buses. Tickets must be bought prior to boarding. Day passes (Tageskarte) offer 24 hours of unlimited travel. Ferries run from the ferry terminal at Enge to the towns and villages surrounding Lake Zurich. Onsite parking is available (surcharge).
