Location. Located in the World Trade Centre in the Hsinyi District, the Grand Hyatt Taipei, Taiwan, was recognized as one of 500 Best Hotels In The World by Travel And Leisure Magazine in 2004. It is hard to imagine a more centrally located hotel with the 101 storey Taipei 101 Finance Tower and the main government building both one block away. Opened in 1990, the hotel part of the World Trade Centre complex that includes the World Trade Building, Convention Centre and Exhibition Hall. In the immediate vicinity is the Warner Movie Village, Taipei 101 Shopping Mall and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi.
Hotel Features. The property has a non smoking focus, but allows smoking in guestrooms on floors 6, 12, 15 and 23. For dining, guests can enjoy Pearl Liang, which features creative interpretations of Chinese seafood and dim sum. Other options include Shanghai Court for Shanghainese cuisine and Irodori for Japanese. For those seeking Western fare, Bel Air features prime U.S. steaks and fresh seafood. For nightlife, Ziga Zaga and Cha Lounge all offer live DJ and performance music. For business or event planning, the mammoth Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 1,200 people.
