Location. The Barceló Premium Lygon Arms Hotel is located in the village of Broadway, Worcestershire, England. Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford upon Avon, is 23 miles away.
Hotel Features. Set around a courtyard, this boutique hotel is housed in an historic coaching inn dating from the 16th century, and is surrounded by three acres of lush grounds which incorporate floodlit tennis courts, and a croquet lawn. At the Bodysense Spa, guests can exercise in the fitness room, swim in the indoor pool, and relax in the sauna or Turkish bath. There are also treatment rooms offering beauty therapy and massages. Internet access is available, and complimentary newspapers are offered in the lobby. Onsite parking is free, and room service is available 24 hours.

International dishes are served beneath the vaulted ceiling of the Great Hall with its minstrels' gallery and open fire, and British dishes are served in the more informal Goblets Bistro. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and guests can enjoy drinks and snacks in the sumptuous Tapestry Room.

Seven meeting rooms are available on site, the largest of which can hold up to 100 persons.

Guestrooms. The 75 guestrooms are spread between the main house and the Garden and Orchard Wings, and many feature wood beamed ceilings and antique furnishings. All include televisions, direct dial phones, Internet access, safes, a complimentary newspaper, and hair dryers. The Deluxe Rooms and Suites include Bang and Olufsen entertainment systems.

Expert Tip. Oxford, 40 miles from the hotel, is home to the world famous university and boasts some of England's finest architecture. Several of the colleges are open to the public, including Christ Church with its 16th century cathedral, and Magdalen with its scenic deer park.

Getting there. The easiest way to reach the hotel from the airport is by hire car or taxi. The nearest train station, Evesham, is 9 miles from the hotel.

Getting around. A car is advisable for exploring the surrounding area.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the second exit off the roundabout onto Terminal Road.
Turn left onto Coventry Road (A45).
Join the M42 at junction 6 in the direction of Solihull and Warwick.
Come off the motorway at junction 3 for Evesham, Redditch, and Birmingham South.
Take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A435.
Continue onto the A46.
Turn left onto Broadway Road (A44).
Take the third exit off the roundabout onto Leamington Road (B4632).
Turn right onto the High Street where the hotel is located.
