Location. Wye House is located in the spa town of Buxton, England, in the picturesque Peak District. The hotel is situated 500 metres from Buxton Opera House, 12 miles from Bakewell and 25 miles from Manchester city centre.
Hotel Features. Set within a three storey building with a slate roof and a brick and stone facade, Wye House is an apartment hotel surrounded by landscaped gardens. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available, and secure underground parking is free. The hotel's staff offer a 'meet and greet' service which collects guests from local transport connections. From Manchester Airport (MAN):
Distance to Wye House is 25 miles, approximately 40 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Manchester Airport train station is linked to all terminals by a moving walkway. Every hour, up to six trains leave the airport for Manchester Piccadilly station in central Manchester. Trains operate between Manchester Piccadilly station and Buxton train station. Buxton train station is 500 metres from the hotel. Alternatively taxis are available from outside the airport to the hotel, and will typically cost £30. All prices are subject to change.

Getting around. The best way to get around Buxton and the local area is on foot; a car is recommended for exploring the Peak District.
