The Rutland Hotel is four floor hotel set in an elegant seafront building on the exclusive Queens Promenade overlooking Douglas Bay out to the Irish sea. All 64 guestrooms enjoy décor of simple pastel shades with modern light oak wood furniture, include coffee/tea making facilities and direct dial phones and are equipped with cable television and high speed wireless Internet access. Executive rooms offer sea views over the bay.
The hotel restaurant, Twenty One, offers guests a place to wine and dine whilst enjoying the view across Douglas Bay; it is open daily for breakfast lunch and dinner with both à la carte and table d'hote menus. More informal eating can be found in 'Champs Bar', serving light bites from its snack menu and also the chef's hand picked selection of daily specials. The Bay Room, again enjoying a sea view, is the hotel's conference facility and can accommodate up to 30 delegates. Active guests should head for the National Sports Centre two miles away for a range of available activities while sightseers may enjoy a visit to Castle Rushen, six miles away. The hotel is approximately 13 miles (21 kilometres), or a twenty minute drive from Isle of Man Airport. Taxis are available at the airport and should cost £15 £20. A frequent bus service also operates.
