Location. Ettington Park Hotel is set in 40 acres of Warwickshire countryside in Stratford upon Avon, England, with the River Stour flowing through the hotel grounds. Stratford upon Avon's train station and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre are six miles away.
Hotel Features. Set in the Stour Valley, Ettington Park Hotel is a neo gothic mansion built from six types of Costwold stone. The interior features hand carved friezes, decorative chimneypieces, antiques, and fine paintings. The grounds surrounding the hotel include formal gardens, woodland, and farmland areas, and a large terrace overlooks the lower meadows.

A complimentary full English breakfast is available each morning. Traditional and homemade dishes are served for breakfast and dinner in the formal Oak Room Restaurant, featuring an 18th century Rococo ceiling and wall panelling embossed with family crests. Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are available in the less formal Great Drawing Room, which offers a terrace during the summer.

Ettington Park provides six conference and meeting rooms and offers wireless Internet access throughout the hotel. Outdoor team building activities can be organised throughout the area.

Guests can use the indoor pool with sauna and stream room, play tennis on the outdoor courts, enjoy lawn croquet or go fishing on the hotel's stretch of the River Stour (surcharge). Clay pigeon shooting, archery, and falconry are available with advance arrangement. Guests also receive a reduced rate to Wildmoor Spa, nine miles away.

Guestrooms. Ettington Park has 48 guestrooms available, featuring period features, rich fabrics, classic furniture, and a modern decor. Guestrooms include flatscreen televisions with satellite channels, DVD and CD players, and complimentary wireless Internet access. The bathrooms have bathrobes, designer toiletries, and hair dryers.

Driving Directions

From Birmingham International Airport (BHX):
Distance to Ettington Park is 31 miles, approximately 45 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A free Skyrail monorail runs every couple of minutes from Terminal 1 to Birmingham's International train station. From here, trains depart for Stratford upon Avon train station regularly. Buses link the surrounding areas to the airport. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Stratford upon Avon has a compact and well laid out medieval town centre. Bicycles are good for getting out to the surrounding countryside. Buses and trains connect to the surrounding area.

Driving directions. From Birmingham International Airport.
Follow signs to Stratford upon Avon.
Once in the centre of Stratford upon Avon, head out on the A3400 towards Shipston and Oxford.
Continue along this road for approximately five miles, and once through the village of Alderminster, the hotel entrance will be on the left, immediately after the turn for Ettington.
