National Express and most regional bus services (including the hourly #X8 from Liverpool) arrive at Chester bus station , between Delamere and George streets. Most other local buses use the bus exchange just behind the town hall, off Princess Street. Merseyrail trains from Liverpool (every 20-30min 6am-11pm; 45min) and all other services call at the train station , northeast of the centre, from where it's a ten-minute walk down City Road and along Foregate Street to the central Eastgate Clock. There's a tourist office in the Town Hall (May-Oct Mon-Sat 9am-5.30pm, Sun 10am-4pm; Nov-April Mon-Sat 10am-5pm) and also the Chester Visitor Centre , on Vicars Lane opposite the amphitheatre (May-Oct Mon-Sat 9am-5.30pm, Sun 10am-4pm; Nov-April Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 10am-4pm), both with the same telephone enquiries number and website (tel 01244/402111, ).
