Both the Art Deco
gare SNCF
and the
gare routière
(tel 02.96.39.21.05) are in the rather gloomy modern quarter, on place du 11-Novembre, ten minutes' walk west of the walled town. Dinan's
tourist office
is very central, in the sixteenth-century Hôtel Kératry at 6 rue de l'Horloge (mid-June to Sept Mon-Sat 9am-7.30pm, Sun 10am-12.30pm & 2.30-6pm; rest of year Mon-Sat 8.30am-12.30pm & 2-6pm; tel 02.96.87.69.76,

); they sell a ticket called
Les Clefs pour Dinan
(35F/¬5.34 per person; 85F/¬12.96 per family), which grants access to a handful of local museums.
Between mid-April and late September,
boats
along the Rance sail between the port downstream and Dinard and St-Malo. The trip takes two and a half hours, exact schedules varying with the tides (95F/¬14.48). It's only possible to do a day return by boat (135F/¬20.58) if you start from St-Malo or Dinard. For details, contact Émeraude Lines in Dinan, on the quai de la Rance (tel 02.96.39.18.04), Dinard (tel 02.99.46.10.45) or St-Malo (tel 02.23.18.15.15).
