How do I make a car reservation?
Making a car reservation on EZTrip.com is very simple. Select or enter the desired pickup city where you want to rent the car (we currently support all major commercial airports worldwide), enter the date and time of your pick-up and drop-off and then click the Search button and EZTrip will retrieve available cars that match your requirements. You then simply click on the 'Reserve This Car' for the car you wish to rent and you will be taken to a secure reservation form that will let you make the reservation.
Tips

If you're arriving by plane, be sure you give yourself at least 30-60 minutes from your arrival time so that you can get off the plane, get your bags, go through customs, etc.

If you wish to refine your search you can also select a car class (Compact, Economy, Luxury, etc.) and specific car rental agency (Avis, Budget, Thrifty). If you just want the lowest rental rate leave these at "Lowest Rate".

When entering pick-up and drop-off dates, you can click on the calendar icon or when you click on the text field for the date, a calendar will appear on the right side of the page. Use this to simply click on a date and it will automatically enter it into the search form.

Use the Refine Search section on the car availability page to check other dates and times as well as cities if you don't find what you're looking for.

How do I make a hotel reservation?
Making a hotel reservation on EZTrip.com is very simple. Select or enter the desired city/town (or partial name if you don't know the exact spelling) where you want to stay (EZTrip.com has hotel listings in thousands of cities across the globe), enter the date you will be checking in and the date you will be checking out and then click the Search button and EZTrip will retrieve hotel listings that match your requirements.
Alternatively you can also browse our Discount Hotel Directory of over 40,000 hotels worldwide and narrow your search down to find a hotel you're looking for. Once you find a hotel you like, you can enter your travel dates and number of guests and check the current availability.
From the results page there are several things you can do.

Clicking on the "name" of the hotel will bring you to a page with all the details related to this hotel including check-in/check-out times, descriptions, photos (if available), location information, and amenity listings.

Click on the Check Availability button will do a real-time check on the room availability for this hotel and bring you to a page with hotel rooms available, their descriptions and nightly rate.

To the right of the name is a star rating which you can click on to get a description of that rating and types of hotels that generally get this rating for comparison.

At the top and bottom of the hotel listing is a New Search and if there are more than 20 hotels returned from a search request, a More Hotels button which will allow you to see more hotels that match you criteria.

Also on the page is a Refine Search section which allows you to change dates, hotel location, and the number of guests if you don't find what you're looking for.
Once you have checked the room availability and find a price and room type that suits your needs, simply click on Reserve Hotel Room and you will be taken to a secure reservation form that will let you make the reservation.
Tips

On the hotel listing page, the price range listed is an estimate based on previous room rates at that particular hotel. To get the current real-time prices, simply click on Check Availability and you can see actual prices.

If you wish to refine your search you can also sort your hotel results by Room Price, Hotel Name, or Hotel City. (Hotel City sorts are if you select a city that has many suburbs near it that are also cities. An example is Los Angeles which will have listings for Hollywood, Beverly Hills, as well as Los Angeles proper.

When/why do I have to include my credit card number?
Hotels that EZTrip.com has negotiated special rates with require up-front payment with your credit card at the time of booking. Whether or not you will be charged up-front for a particular hotel will be clearly specified in the reservation form cancellation policy and hotel policy sections. This ensures you have a room when you arrive so you are not "bumped" or "overbooked". You could be responsible for additional charges if new taxes or fees are added by the hotel from the time of booking to the time you check out of the room. Additional charges for phone calls, room service, and other services will be your responsibility at the time of check out as well.
If a hotel is not a special negotiated rate, a credit card is still required to make a reservation but your card will not be charged until you check-out of the hotel.
In both cases, there can be cancellation charges which will be specified in the Cancellation Policy of a particular hotel before you make the final reservation.
Car reservations only require a credit card to make the reservation but your card is not charged until you show up to pick-up your car rental.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Yes. To ensure your security, EZTrip.com utilizes industry standard SSL security on our servers which encrypts your credit card number as well as all your personal information before transferring it to our servers.

What credit card types are accepted for guarantee/deposit?
Car, hotel and flight reservations can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card and American Express for booking.

What does EZTrip.com charge for using this web site?
EZTrip.com does not charge anything for using this web site or for making reservations on your behalf. However, some of our suppliers charge service fees. Please read all text carefully associated with any reservation.
Also because of changes in the way the airlines handle ticketing and to ensure that we provide you with the best possible customer service, 24-7, we charge a $10.00 per airline ticket fee. This only applies to airline tickets, NOT hotel or car reservations.

Are taxes included in the rate?
For hotel reservations, it will be indicated by the quoted rate if taxes and miscellaneous charges/fees are included. The Total amount for "Additional Rates" does not include taxes or fees, and any such taxes or fees will be collected by the hotel. The Total amount for "Special Internet Rates" is the full amount that you will be required to pay, and includes a tax recovery charge imposed by our supplier to recover the amount it pays to the hotel in connection with your reservation for local occupancy, value added and other similar taxes, our supplier's service charges for handling of your reservation.
For car reservations, in general the rate does NOT include taxes, insurances, airport fees, and other related fees. These will be explained at the time of booking. If possible and estimation of the "total rental fee" will be emailed to you with your completed itinerary.
For flight reservations, all taxes and surcharges are included in the rate (except for the $10.00 per ticket service charged described here.

Is the room rate per person or per night?
All rates are based on double occupancy per room, and are quoted on a nightly basis unless otherwise specified. Extra people, children, roll-away beds and incidentals may be subject to additional charges.

Miscellaneous Reservation Information

What happens when I make a reservation?
Reservation requests will result in a new screen showing an Itinerary Number, which should be kept and used with any future correspondence with EZTrip.com. You may also be quoted a Confirmation Number. Additionally, all reservations will be followed up within 2 to 4 hours with an email using the same Itinerary Number and, if available, a Confirmation Number.

How long will it take EZTrip.com to respond to my reservation request?
All reservation requests bring you to a new page showing your itinerary details and your itinerary number, which should be kept and used with any future correspondence with EZTrip.com. If available at the time of reservation a vendor confirmation number will also be supplied. If it's not available at the time of reservation, it will be emailed to you as soon as it arrives from the hotel or car rental agency.
Additionally, all reservations will be followed up with an email within 2 to 4 hours using the same Itinerary Number with the status of your reservation.

Will I receive a written confirmation via US Mail?
No. The email confirmation you receive from EZTrip.com is all you will need. It displays your EZTrip.com Itinerary Number, the rate, confirmation number, and for hotel reservations the cancellation policy.

What is the cancellation policy on my reservation?
When you are completing the Secure Reservation Form, the Cancellation Policy will be provided in red or there will be a link to read the cancellation policy. You can also view the property details page from the search results by clicking on the hotell name to find the cancellation policy. These policies will vary from hotel to hotel, so you must read each one carefully. In general, the standard increments are that you must cancel the room(s) by 4 or 6 PM on the arrival date, or 24, 48, or 72 hours prior to your specified arrival; however, these are just general guidelines and the specific policy of the property will prevail. If you cancel before the deadline, generally you will not be charged a penalty. Canceling after the stated period will result in a cancellation penalty fee.
Reservations of "Special Internet Rates" will apply a cancellation fee regardless of the timeframe of cancellation. If the cancellation is outside of the time allotted, you may be charged for one night's stay. Please read the specific cancellation policy provided for each property on the site and in any emails regarding your reservation.
