The Gillette Stadium is located in downtown Foxborough, Massachusetts and is home to both the New England Patriots football team and the New England Revolution soccer team. Located between Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island, the stadium can seat over 68,000 people and has 6,000 club seats and 87 luxury suites. Visitors to Foxborough will find that there are many luxurious accommodations close to the Gillette Stadium. The hotels that provide these accommodations also offer many generous amenities to their guests: delicious continental breakfasts, workout areas, spas, swimming pools, work centers and conference rooms. Gillette Stadium hosts more than soccer tournaments and football, however. It has hosted NCAA Men’s Lacrosse tournaments, and many sold out concerts. Acts that played there include the Dixie Chicks, Bon Jovi, the Rolling Stones, and Keith Urban. The stadium also has several facilities that are available for various events, including weddings, receptions, parties, business functions, seminars, and many other social functions. Near the Gillette Stadium is Patriot Place, where visitors can enjoy outdoor shopping, entertainment and dining. The stadium is also only about 20 miles from Boston, so visitors to the stadium can easily visit and enjoy numerous historical sites including Dorchester Heights, where George Washington first confronted the British in the American Revolution, Boston Harbor and Boston Church, which were instrumental in Paul Revere’s ride, and Breed’s Hill, where the Battle of Bunker Hill was fought. Visitors to the Gillette Stadium will find plenty to see and do this vacation.
